Suriya and Nayanthara sizzle in Aadhavan. The new pair is said share a great chemistry and are rocking on screen.

The big-budget extravaganza, directed by K S Ravikumar, is one of the hottest films in the trade and is getting ready for a big Diwali release.

The songs in Aadhavan were shot in Iceland, Cape Town (South Africa), Darjeeling and Kodaikanal. And, of course, there are no bets on whether Harris Jayaraj's songs will be super hits! IKLAN

Nayanthara recently refused a film by renowned film director Aneez Bazmi. The eminent director wanted Nayanthara to act opposite Bollywood action hero Akshay Kumar.

Nayanthara clearly mentioned, she is happy working down south and doesn’t wish to come to Mumbai filmdom. Currently busy with her upcoming Tamil film bodyguard, Nayanthara is also excited about Aadhavan. She stars opposite Suriya in this film.

Looks like one dame speaks her mind and is not interested to join the Bollywood race. Good for her!

Nayanthara next project with tollywood hero Ravi Teja

Nayanthara is a busy bee shuttling between Kerala, Chennai and Hyderabad. She is doing three films simultaneously in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu.

The latest rumour doing the rounds in Tollywood is that, after a dull 2008 she is keen to sign more Telugu films. The actress has agreed to do a film opposite Ravi Teja, her hero of Dubai Seenu.

We contacted Nayan who is shooting in Kerala: “ I have not formally signed on the dotted line but have agreed in principle to do the film. I am happy to do this Boyapati Sreenu film”. The film will be produced by Ganesh Babu.

SouthIndian Actress Nayanthara denies newpaper reports

Nayanthara denies newpaper reports that she fainted on the sets of her big budget action flick opposite junior NTR in Hyderabad.

The reports say that she lost her balance and fainted on the sets, while shooting for an action sequences due to low BP.

The actress clarifies with Sify.com: “It is baseless and I can’t figure out who is behind spreading such false news? I was shooting continuously for my Malayalam film and reached Hyderabad on Sunday evening. I have joined the unit and am perfectly fine”.


Nayan is making a strong comeback to Tollywood after a gap and she will be taking part in the photoshoot of her next Tamil film opposite Surya for producer Udayanidhi Stalin by next week.

Nayan is in Phuket dancing on the beaches with Ilayathalapathy Vijay for Villu

Last week Nayanthara was with Ajit in Switzerland, shooting a song for Aegan.

Both of them were dancing to the tune of Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music and taking part in a duet Mallika Mallika… choreographed by director Raju Sundaram.

Now Nayan is in Phuket dancing on the beaches with Ilayathalapathy Vijay for Villu directed and choreographed by Prabhu Deva, Raju’s brother!

Vijay had earlier completed some deadly action scenes, in Bangkok. Now after completing the song, they will be shooting some more portion of the talkie part of the film.

Nearly 60 percent of the talkie part of the film is being shot abroad, as per story demands.

Ajith starrer Aegan audio was launched on October 9th. This film, which is the debut directorial venture for choreographer and actor Raju Sundaram, has generated enough hype already.

Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music for this Ajith-Nayantara starrer. This is the third Ajith starrer that this talented music director is composing music for. He had earlier composed the music of Dheena and Billa.

All the songs of Aegan are good and some of them have the popular hip-hop touch.

Nayan is said to be at her glamours best yet again in this movie. ‘Aegan’ is ultimate star Ajith Kumar’s 48th film.

The next stop is going to be France for the entire unit of Vijay’s Villu. The movie Villu to be directed by Prabhu Deva has flown to France for a three-week shoot of the film.

They want to shoot a major part of the talkie portion and two songs in France and other parts of the European Union including Ukraine. The second half of the Villu film is set in a foreign country as per the story, in which the hero goes in search of the killers of his father. The Villu crew, feels that Europe will will them a different background that mixes well with the story.

Also, Europe is a very lesser used location in Kollywood. Villu has Nayanthara in the heroine’s role and music by Devi Sri Prasad. Camera is by Ravi Varman.

Nayan and ParuthiVeeran Karthi appearing together for the first time in the kollywood film

Nayanthara slowly becoming the costliest actress in kollywood. The hot bikini babe Nayanthara had signed a deal with Director Lingusamy in an untitled film with actor Karthi as the lead role in the movie. The sources saying that Nayanthara has signed for whopping 1.5Crores which is the most highest ever paid for a South Indian actress.

Nayan and ParuthiVeeran Karthi appearing together for the first time in the film which is based on comic and romantic with full of entertainment.As like the Run and SandaKozhi the film will be a fast thriller.

Actress Nayanthara signed the film for 60days after hearing the storyline of the Lingusamy’s project. The music director Yuvan Shankar Raja is once again teaming with Lingusamy after the hit of “SandaKozhi” .

The shooting will commence from the middle of August month. The producer will be difficult hereafter to put Nayanthara in the lead role because she is costly and producer’s will try to get Nayanthara because she has covered numerous number of fans through her bikini.

The change is apparent. In his ramrod-straight physique and his new confidence. Six-footer Vishal is ready to go shirtless and show off his six-pack abs in his forthcoming cop film Sathyam.

One of Kollywood’s famous downsizing stories in recent times, Vishal’s lean-mean look is clearly the result of sweat. “It called for a totally new routine,” rewinds the actor. “My role demanded such a demeanour. Since I play an assistant commissioner of police, I wanted to look like a cop — an absolutely fit one at that. So workouts became an essential part of my routine. Besides, there’s a scene in which I go shirtless, so I had to get ready for that.”

Though not someone to be hit by pre-release angst, Vishal admits he’s quite anxious about Sathyam. “For the past 18 months my life revolved around the film that’s slated for release on August 14. A lot is at stake. This is my biggest film so far — in terms of canvas, technical expertise and budget. Besides, it’s a bilingual. It’s my first straight Telugu film. The very look of Sathyam is slick. It’s mounted on a grand scale like a Shankar film. There’s art by Thota Tharini, visual effects by Hollywood experts and music by Harris Jayaraj. Director Rajashekar’s hard work shows in every scene.”

Divulging details, he continues, “There’s a never-seen-before car chase sequence that lasts for eight minutes. It’s a crucial part of the film. There’s another scene shot at the Dubai airport in which Kannada star Upendra, who plays the villain, chases the hero. These are portions where you can’t tell if it’s visual effects or real! I was bored of my usual fist fights. So we had to try out different action sequences. Besides, there are so many misgivings about encounters in cop films. Sathyam digs out the truth.”

Talk about action being his forte, and Vishal says earnestly, “It’s not that I want to do only action flicks. I’m just choosing from the best that’s offered to me. Post-Sandakozhi, which ran to packed halls for 210 days, I wanted to capitalise on my strong points. Thimiru followed, and it looked like action was something the audience expected of me. Though I tried comedy in Malaikotai and soaked in family sentiment in Tamiraparani, action was the core of these scripts too.

Incidentally, Sathyam is something that came to him immediately after Sandakozhi. “But I didn’t take it up then. I felt I needed to fine-tune my histrionics and fine-tone my physique. I’ve done tremendous homework for my role in Sathyam. I picked up inputs about body language, etc., from top cop C. Sylendra Babu. I can’t afford to mess up.”

Vishal, who started off as an assistant director before turning actor, says, “It helps to have that kind of a background, because you know what a director expects. My chemistry with my directors is often better than that with my heroines (laughs). But I can be a nuisance sometimes. I poke my nose into a lot of things — right from the coconut that’s bought for the puja.”

Though a star of some consequence today, Vishal’s heart still beats for direction. He will soon direct his dream film on a superhero — to be played by him. “I love fantasy characters. The South must have its own superhero. I’m working on the script. If it does well, there will be sequels too.”





Vishal, who is in no hurry to sign films, says, “I’ll be doing Udayanidhi Stalin’s forthcoming film. I’d rather take one film at a time and go slow than goof up. Today, an actor kills himself for his role. You have to be a thorough-bred. But the pressure is good. It keeps you on your feet. Tinseldom today is like a garden. A new flower blooms every day. There’s no room for complacency. Either you are a somebody or a nobody.”
