Farah and Aamir1

Tees Maar Khan” is over and done with, filmmaker Farah Khan is all set indulge in her first love, choreography. She’s been asked by Aamir Khan to choreograph a song for “Delhi Belly”.

Confirming her professional reunion with Aamir after 10 years, Farah says, “Yes, I’m doing a song for Aamir’s ‘Delhi Belly’ because he has asked me to.”

So, does this mean Farah is returning to choreography in a big way?

Retorts Farah, “Not at all! I don’t actively do choreography any more. Only a song here or there for friends. Besides Aamir’s song I will be doing the ‘Housefull 2′ numbers for my brother Sajid and, of course, my husband Shirish Kunder’s ‘Joker’. That’s it for now. No more choreography this year. I’m busy writing my next script.”

“Delhi Belly” was completed by director Abhinay Deo last year.

The project is as special to Aamir as his wife Kiran Rao’s “Dhobi Ghat” because it stars his nephew Imran Khan. The quirky film about a prodigal’s return to the capital has been described as a sex comedy.

The song choreographed by Farah Khan in “Delhi Belly” would be filmed on Imran Khan. Apparently Aamir wants the same feeling of youthful vibrancy in it that Farah had created for Aamir in the “Pehla nasha” number in “Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar”.

“Pehla nasha” was the first song that Farah choreographed. After “Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar”, she has choreographed only twice for Aamir, in “Sarfarosh” and “Dil Chahta Hai”.

Aamir’s attention is now turning towards its post-production work, now that Kiran Rao’s directorial debut “Dhobi Ghat” is about to release.

Deo has moved on to his next project, “Game”, for producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.

This season of Karan Johar’s show Koffee With Karan is throwing up one shocker after another.
The latest to grab the attention is a remark by director Farah Khan. While appearing on a director’s special show that also had Imtiaz Ali and Rajkumar Hirani as guests, Farah was her candid best.
When Karan Johar asked her to describe her sex life in two words, guess what Farah said: “Non Existent”.
She went on to add: “Between my three kids and the making of Tees Maar Khan, that’s been the case.” A moment later she began to laugh and clarified: “I was just joking.”
Farah is married to Shirish Kunder who edited her film Main Hoon Na.
She gave birth to triplets in February 2008. Since then she’s been busy taking care of her three kids. For the good part of this year, she’s been busy with Tees Maar Khan, her next directorial venture.

Akshaye Khanna plays an important role in Tees Maar Khan not a cameo role: Farah Khan

While Akshaye Khanna is telling everyone who’ll listen to him that his role in the upcoming film, Tees Maar Khan, is only a special appearance and that Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif are the real stars, the director of the film, Farah Khan, begs to differ.

“I am aware about Akshaye stating that he is doing just a special appearance in the film. But for a film which was completed in around 55 days, he has shot for 21. Now tell me, how is it a special appearance?” she asks, adding, “Akshaye doesn’t realise it yet, but he is the second most important character in the script.”

In the film, Khanna plays a superstar who is on the hunt for a Hollywood award. His dream comes closer to realisation when a series of events lead to his biggest acting assignment ever.

“Trust me when I say this: Akshaye is the maddest of them all in the film. He is truly the surprise element,” says Farah in support of the actor who has always labelled himself the underdog. “I have told him that I will do taandav on his head when he gets all the rave reviews for the film.”

We will know how good his performance is when the film releases. There is no denying that he does have a few good ones - performances that is, to his credit.

But it seems more like Akshaye Khanna has a major chip on his shoulder about being talented and yet always having to play roles second to the lead.

Farah Khan is all set to take a break from work.

Farah maybe a superwoman, multitasking with her various assignments - directing a movie and judging reality shows. But Farah Khan is all set to take a break from work.
The director wants to concentrate on her three kids and family after her Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif starrer Tees Maar Khan hits the theatres.
Our source said, “Farah will take a six-month break from direction after Tees Maar Khan releases. Hectic schedules have kept her away from her family and she plans to make up for it during this break. She misses being with her kids. At times, the triplets would accompany Farah to the sets too, but it is not the same as being at home. She wants to spend quality time at home with her children.”
During this break, Farah also will help hubby Shirish Kunder with his films - Joker - with Akshay,” said our source.

When contacted Farah Khan confirmed saying, “I am taking a break once Tees Maar Khan releases. People have been asking me what my next project will be and my answer is nothing. I am going to take a break for six months.”
